The Foundation Course is a great introduction of millinery techniques. During a 25-hour training, students will develop a foundation of blocking skills and knowledge of using millinery blocking materials, wires, lining and stitches. This course is suitable for beginning millinery students and ideal to anyone is interested in pursuing millinery as a business or career.

Topics of this course:

• Knowledge of hat blocks, blocking materials and millinery tools

• Learning traditional blocking techniques

• Blocking with buckram, Dior net and sinamay

• Wiring the frames

• Lining the hats

• How to wear the hat

This course is scheduled once per week, 2.5 hours per sessions. There will be 10 sessions in total. Class will be at Roseville, MN location.

Class materials are included.
